In the series B.A.: O Futuro Está Morto, I worked as a 3D artist and VFX artist on key environment design elements and on the application of visual effects to the final creature of the series. My role focused on building brutalist environments and enhancing the on-screen presence of the already established creature within the narrative.
For the environments, I developed structures influenced by brutalist architecture, prioritizing solid forms, striking geometries, and a dense atmosphere that reinforced the dystopian tone of the production. The goal was to create digital environments with a consistent visual identity, balancing scale, lighting, and composition to ensure seamless integration with live-action footage.
Regarding the final monster, my contribution focused on developing visual effects and enhancements applied to the existing creature. This work involved simulations, lighting adjustments, compositing interventions, and visual treatments designed to intensify its presence on screen. The integration of VFX, rendering, and filmed material was essential to strengthen the creature’s visual impact while maintaining aesthetic coherence with the series’ dystopian universe.
